The Magic was built in Beals, Maine, a place known for its outstanding boat-building, and it is solidly-built and wide enough to be roomy. The fishing grounds are not far away, but on that short ride it will be smoother and more comfortable than on other smaller, narrower charter boats. And if it’s not a flat calm day (yes, that happens sometimes), the slight rocking won’t interfere with the awesome fishing.

Besides the squeaky clean and well-maintained F/V Magic, Captain Mike uses only the best equipment on his charter fishing trips. From the Penn rods and Shimano reels to the high-quality light tackle to the bait (that Mike knows the fish like best), it all adds up to a first-class adventure.

And if you catch so many fish on your trip that you need a break from reeling in those big guys, the waters off Chatham are teeming with life, from seals to sharks to seabirds to whales that you can observe close up.
